These Maryland Oil and Acrylic paintings are taken from many places in Maryland in the area of our national Capitol Washington DC.   Colonial park is a state park  adjacent to the Potomac River. I was attracted to the placid pond on the site and spent a day painting it . I later did a studio work.  I also painted near Centerville MD, on the Corsica River, spending an entire weekend capturing various scenes with varied moods.  Further North I went to the Catoctin Mountains near Frederick MD, and painted mountain and lake scenes.

Across the Potomac River from Alexandria can be found Oxon Hill Farm state park, which is a trove of old farm scenes to paint. I have spent many happy hours there. I have also sold most that I have painted there, people seem to like it.
