This is a collection of oil and acrylic paintings of scenes in the Blue Ridge  Mountains west of Washington DC in Virginia.  The area I painted is mostly around Syria, Culpepper and Charlottesville VA. The Skyline Drive runs close by and goes through the Shenandoah National Park. Some of the paintings were done "plein air" on site , some in studio and some from imagination.  The combination of lakes streams and mountains is very appealing and demands to be painted . I paint with the Washington Society of Landscape Painters, and once per year we spend a weekend at Graves Mountain Lodge, and paint the surrounding mountains and creeks, notably the Robinson River which runs through the valley.
